[OOC: Milliways] Permissions!
Jun. 5th, 2015 10:53 pmInsight Power:
In Season Two, we see the day that Henry gets the storybook and looks up to recognize Mary Margaret Blanchard as Snow White. He proceeds to recognize several others, some on sight and some by deduction, though it is not perfect. His mother, Emma, always knows if someone is lying. It seems rather likely that Henry himself has insight into the truth.
It's somewhat ill-defined, but it seems to be an instinctive understanding of someone's narrative place--it might have something to do with his status as the True Believer and [spoilers]. It is not perfect, and for the purposes of the Bar I suspect I will require that he have a meaningful or extended interaction with someone for this to activate--or player permission, of course. For the OUaT characters, it will be eventually mapping them to their other identity.
For others, especially ones he does not know the story of, this ability will be less about identity and more about their role in the story (The Hero, The Lost Heir, The Princess, The Mentor, etc).
Obviously, though, this requires permission! Let me know here if you have strong feelings one way or another.
PAGING MARVEL COMICS:
Henry walks into a comics shop and is shown peering at an issue of Hulk vs. Wolverine. With Disney ownership, apparently Marvel Comics canonically exists in OUaT and Henry reads them. He probably doesn't know super-obscure stuff, but if you especially don't want him to recognize your character, you should tell me.
